A summer to remember
Our popular Summer Explorer programme focuses on developing core German language skills through project-based learning activities and interactive learning – an effective way to learn a language quickly and successfully.
Students will be grouped with others of similar age and language capability to maximise their potential for success during their time at our summer school:
- Intermediate Explorers (Ages 12-16)
For students who have already studied German for two years or more. Students will review all language skills: reading, writing, listening and speaking

Learning outcomes
Students on our Summer Explorer programme can expect to achieve the following learning outcomes:
- Gain confidence and become more independent learners
- Develop their core German language skills
- Improve their vocabulary, pronunciation, and grammar
- Essential 21st-century life skills for learning, life and work
- Produce a portfolio of work to demonstrate progress and achievements
- Meet new friends from a diverse mix of nationalities

Theme-based learning
An important part of our approach is theme-based learning. This fully integrated approach to your child’s development provides them with cross-curricular opportunities for learning everywhere, inside and outside the classroom.
Our theme-based approach to teaching creates variety, interest and motivation for the students. Each theme is carefully selected by the academic team depending on the level of the class and changes for each camp.
This approach helps students learn faster and more successfully. It also guarantees that students will learn something new every time.
