Collection of your personal information

We will collect your personal information if you complete an online form or submit an enquiry through our website, including brochure requests, ‘Ask us a question’ information requests, applications for courses we run, market research surveys, newsletter subscriptions, alumni and English online registrations. We may also collect your personal information if you sign up to access secure areas of the website. Where you have consented, we may also collect sensitive personal data about you, for instance relating to your nationality.

Information about other individuals

If you give us information on behalf of anyone else, you confirm that they have appointed you to act on their behalf and have agreed that you can receive notices and give consent on their behalf in relation to our use of their personal information.

Use of your personal information

We will use your personal information to enable us to provide you with access to our website, updates about changes to our website, any information or educational services you request and to carry out administration, statistical analysis and market research. Where you have consented, we may also send you marketing information from time to time by post, telephone, fax and email about products and services we think may be of interest to you.

Where you have consented, we may also share your information with Bell schools local to you to enable them to contact you by email with information that may be of interest to you.   We may also disclose your information to a buyer or potential buyer of our business or assets. We will not otherwise disclose your information to third parties unless we are required to do so by law or any court order.

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

As set out above, where you have consented, we may share your information with Bell schools and other associated companies local to you. These may be located outside the European Economic Area and may provide a lower standard of data protection.

Personal data

Personal data (i.e. information which could identify you) submitted to us, for example in response to a consultation, will only be used to respond to your feedback. We will not pass it on to any third party (including other Government departments or agencies) without your consent. This privacy statement only covers the Bell Educational Services website at www.bellenglish.com. This statement does not cover links within this site to other websites.

We will use technical and organisational measures to safeguard your personal information. While we will use reasonable endeavours to safeguard your personal information, the use of the internet is not entirely secure and we cannot guarantee the security or integrity of any personal information transferred from you or to you through the internet.

Modifying / removing personal information

You may change your registered details in any way or cancel their registration by emailing us at info@bellenglish.com.  You are also entitled to access the information we hold about you, for which we are entitled to make a small charge.
